Kelly Day O’Brien, NBC-HWC

kelly’s mission is to be an example of what is possible when life’s challenges are reframed as opportunities.

Kelly has almost 3 decades of experience in the healthcare field.  It was during her first career as a broadcast journalist that she came to understand how genuine curiosity and compassion could foster deep connection and unlock potential in others.

After completing her training with Duke Integrative Medicine’s Coach Training program she was in the first cohort of health coaches to attain national board certification. She joined a functional medical practice where she designed and implemented a health coaching program that combined integrative and functional lifestyle approaches.

Kelly is a recognized sleep behavior coach.  She is a certified professional accountability coach and mindfulness meditation instructor.

She founded rootwell coaching and collaborates with individuals and groups to cultivate positive lifestyle habits to support whole person well-being.

Kelly enjoys time with her family— which mostly revolves around cooking, eating and traveling. She stays balanced by spending time outdoors, tending to two adorable and goofy rescue dogs, gets creative with design and home improvement projects, and dances every chance she gets (tap shoes encouraged but not required).
